Party System

Team up with other players to tackle challenging content. Party members can track each other's positions, monitor health in real-time, and communicate through a dedicated chat channel.

1. Party Overview

The party system allows players to form small, temporary groups for cooperative gameplay. Unlike guilds, parties are lightweight and session-oriented — ideal for group hunting, exploring dangerous areas, or coordinating against tough monsters. Parties provide real-time information sharing between members, including position tracking and health monitoring.

Party at a Glance
  • Max members per party 5
  • Max parties on server 50
  • Max pending invites (server-wide) 150
  • Leader per party 1 (designated leader)
  • Dedicated chat channel Yes
  • Position tracking Yes (X, Y coordinates)
  • Health monitoring Yes (current and max HP)

The server supports up to 50 active parties at any given time. Each party can hold a maximum of 5 members, including the party leader. When a party is created, the player who initiates it automatically becomes the leader.

2. Inviting & Joining

Parties are formed through an invite system. The party leader (or any existing member, depending on settings) can send invitations to other players. The invited player receives a pending invite that they can choose to accept or decline.

Invite Process

Step Action Details
1 Send Invite Leader sends a party invitation to a target player
2 Pending Invite Invite is stored with a timestamp and awaits response
3 Accept or Decline Target player chooses to join or reject the invitation
4 Join Party On acceptance, the player is added and all members are notified

Invite Limits

The server maintains a pool of up to 150 pending invite slots across all parties. Each invite is tracked with a timestamp, allowing the server to expire stale invitations. If the pending invite pool is full, new invites cannot be sent until existing ones are accepted, declined, or expire.

Invite Specifications
  • Max pending invites (server-wide) 150 slots
  • Invite tracking Timestamp-based
  • Response options Accept or Decline
  • Party size check Invite fails if party is full (5/5)
Tip
If you are unable to send a party invite, make sure your party is not already at the 5-member cap. Also check that the target player is not already in another party.

3. Party Member Info

Once in a party, members share real-time information with each other. This data is synchronized between all party members and provides critical situational awareness during group activities.

Information Description Use Case
Character Name The name of each party member Identify teammates in the party roster
Position (X, Y) Current map coordinates of each member See teammates on the minimap; navigate to their location
Current HP The member's current hit points Monitor teammate health during combat
Max HP The member's maximum hit points Gauge how much damage a teammate has taken

Minimap Tracking

Party member positions are displayed on the minimap, allowing you to see where your teammates are at all times. This is particularly useful when exploring large areas or when party members split up to cover more ground. If a teammate encounters danger, you can quickly navigate to their coordinates to provide assistance.

Health Monitoring

Both current and maximum HP are shared between party members. This allows the group to keep track of each member's condition in real-time. If a party member's health drops dangerously low, the rest of the group can react accordingly — whether that means rushing to assist or calling for a retreat.

Tip
Keep an eye on your party members' HP during combat encounters. If you see a teammate's health dropping rapidly, consider drawing enemy attention to yourself or moving to assist them before it is too late.

4. Leadership & Management

Every party has a designated leader. The player who creates the party is automatically assigned as the leader. The leader has the primary responsibility of managing invites and coordinating the group.

Leader Responsibilities

Action Description
Send Invites Invite other players to join the party
Manage Members Oversee the party roster and coordinate activities
Transfer Leadership Pass the leader role to another party member

Automatic Leadership Transfer

If the party leader leaves the party, leadership is automatically transferred to another remaining member. This ensures the party always has a leader and can continue to function without interruption. The transfer happens immediately upon the leader's departure.

Leadership Rules
  • Leaders per party Exactly 1
  • Initial leader Party creator
  • Manual transfer Leader can transfer to any member
  • Auto-transfer on leave Yes, immediate

5. Party Chat

Parties have access to a dedicated chat channel for private communication between members. Party chat messages are only visible to players who are currently in the same party, making it ideal for tactical coordination without broadcasting your plans to nearby players.

Property Value Notes
Chat Category Party Separate channel from general, guild, and whisper chat
Visibility Party members only Messages are not visible to non-party players
Mute Option Yes Can be muted independently from other chat channels

Party chat can be muted independently from other chat channels. If you need to focus on other messages during intense gameplay, you can temporarily mute party chat without affecting whispers, general chat, guild chat, or other channels.

Tip
Use party chat to coordinate combat strategies, call out enemy positions, or signal when you need help. Since only party members can see these messages, you can discuss tactics without alerting nearby opponents in PvP situations.

6. Party Benefits

Forming a party provides several advantages over playing solo. The combination of shared information, private communication, and coordinated effort makes parties essential for tackling the game's toughest challenges.

Benefit Description
Coordinated Combat Work together against tough monsters that would be difficult or impossible to defeat solo
Position Tracking See party members on the minimap to coordinate movement and regroup quickly
Health Monitoring Monitor teammate HP in real-time to know when they need assistance
Private Communication Dedicated party chat channel for tactical coordination without alerting others
Location Sharing Share information about locations, threats, and points of interest with your group
Why Party Up?
Parties are especially valuable when facing high-level monsters, exploring dangerous PvP zones, or venturing into unfamiliar territory. The ability to see your teammates' positions and health gives your group a significant tactical advantage over uncoordinated players.

7. Leaving & Disbanding

Any party member can leave the party at any time using the party leave function. When a member leaves, the remaining members are notified and the party continues to operate normally — with one important exception.

Auto-Disband

If the party is reduced to only 1 remaining member, the party is automatically disbanded. A party requires at least two members to exist. This means that if four members leave a five-person party, the last remaining player will find themselves without a party.

Scenario Result
Member leaves (2+ remain) Party continues; remaining members notified
Leader leaves (2+ remain) Leadership auto-transfers to another member; party continues
Member leaves (only 1 remains) Party is automatically disbanded
Warning
When a party disbands, all shared information (position tracking, health monitoring) stops immediately. Make sure you and your teammate are in a safe location before leaving a two-person party.

8. Tips & Strategies

Making the most of the party system requires communication and awareness. Here are some strategies to help your group succeed.

Tip
Use the party system for group hunting. Coordinating with teammates allows you to take on monsters that would be too dangerous alone, and position tracking helps you stay close to your group.
Tip
Monitor your teammates' HP at all times. If you see a party member's health dropping quickly, move to assist them immediately. A timely intervention can save a teammate from death and the penalties that come with it.
Tip
Use party chat for all coordination during group activities. Discuss strategy, call out threats, and communicate retreat plans through the private party channel rather than general chat.
Tip
The party leader should actively manage invites. If your group needs reinforcements, send invites promptly. Remember that the server-wide limit of 150 pending invites means you should not leave invitations unanswered for too long.
Tip
Consider forming a party before entering PvP zones. The ability to track your allies' positions and health on the minimap gives your group a significant advantage over solo players or uncoordinated opponents.
