Guilds

Form or join a guild to collaborate with other players. Manage ranks, share a guild bank, and coordinate through dedicated guild chat.

1. Guild Overview

Guilds are the primary social organizations in Vorlia, allowing players to band together under a shared name and tag. Guild members gain access to a shared bank, a dedicated chat channel, and a structured rank system that controls permissions.

Guild at a Glance
  • Max guilds on server 15
  • Max members per guild 50
  • Guild name length Up to 45 characters
  • Guild tag length 4 characters
  • MOTD length Up to 256 characters
  • Creation cost 500,000 gold
  • Level requirement Level 80

The server supports a maximum of 15 active guilds at any given time. Each guild has a unique name (up to 45 characters) and a short 4-character tag that is displayed alongside member names in-game, making guild affiliation visible to all nearby players.

2. Creating a Guild

Creating a guild requires meeting two conditions: your character must be at least level 80, and you must have 500,000 gold to cover the creation fee. The gold is deducted immediately upon guild creation.

Requirement Value Notes
Minimum Level 80 Character level, not account level
Gold Cost 500,000 Deducted on creation
Guild Name Up to 45 characters Must be unique across the server
Guild Tag 4 characters Shown next to player names
Tip
Choose your guild tag carefully — it will be visible to every player who sees any of your guild members. The tag can be changed later by the guild leader.

The player who creates the guild automatically becomes the guild leader. There can only be one leader at a time, and the leader holds the highest level of control over the guild, including the ability to promote, demote, invite, remove members, change the tag, and disband the guild entirely.

3. Membership

Each guild can hold up to 50 members. Members are tracked by character name and ID, and each member occupies a numbered slot within the guild roster. The guild window displays all members along with their current status.

Member Status

Every guild member has a real-time status indicator visible to other members in the guild roster:

Status Value Description
Offline 0 Member is not currently logged in
Online 1 Member is logged in and active
Idle 2 Member is logged in but has not moved recently

Idle status is detected automatically through movement tracking. If a player has not moved for a period of time, their status changes from Online to Idle. The guild roster is sorted so that online and idle members appear before offline members, making it easy to see who is currently available.

Inviting Members
To invite a new member, select the invite action from the guild window and enter the character name of the player you wish to add. The target player must not already be in a guild.

4. Rank System

Guilds use a 5-level rank system (ranks 0 through 4) that determines each member's permissions and responsibilities within the guild. The guild leader can promote and demote members to adjust their rank.

Rank Default Bank Permission Description
Rank 0 (Lowest) No access New recruits; no guild bank access by default
Rank 1 Deposit only Can deposit items into the guild bank but cannot withdraw
Rank 2 Full access Can both deposit and withdraw from the guild bank
Rank 3 Full access Senior members with full bank access
Rank 4 (Highest) Full access Officers with full bank access and management abilities

Rank permissions control access to the guild bank. The leader can customize the bank permission level for each rank independently, choosing between no access, deposit only, or full access (deposit and withdraw).

Tip
It is recommended to keep new recruits at Rank 0 with no bank access until they have proven themselves trustworthy. Promote them to Rank 1 (deposit only) as a first step, and grant full access only to established, trusted members.

5. Guild Bank

The guild bank is a shared storage facility available to all guild members, subject to their rank-based permissions. It provides a significant amount of storage space organized into tabs and tracked with a detailed activity log.

Guild Bank Specifications
  • Total capacity 280 item slots
  • Number of tabs 4
  • Items per tab 70
  • Tab grid layout 7 columns × 10 rows
  • Max log entries 100

Bank Tabs

The guild bank is divided into 4 tabs, each holding up to 70 items in a 7×10 grid. Members can switch between tabs to browse the full inventory. This organization allows guilds to categorize items by type, purpose, or intended recipient.

Access Permissions

Bank access is controlled on a per-rank basis. The guild leader can set one of three permission levels for each of the five ranks:

Permission Level Value Abilities
No Access 0 Cannot interact with the guild bank at all
Deposit Only 1 Can place items into the bank but cannot remove them
Full Access 2 Can both deposit items into and withdraw items from the bank

Deposit and Withdrawal

To deposit an item, drag it from your backpack to an empty guild bank slot (or use auto-placement with slot −1). To withdraw, select an item from the bank and it will be moved to your backpack if you have space. Both actions are recorded in the guild bank log.

Activity Log

The guild bank maintains an activity log of up to 100 entries that records all deposit and withdrawal transactions. Each log entry includes:

Log Field Description
Character Name Name of the member who performed the action
Action Deposit (0) or Withdraw (1)
Item Family The item family (Weapon, Armor, Collectable, etc.)
Item Type The specific item type within its family
Item Name The item's name identifier
Quantity Number of items deposited or withdrawn
Timestamp When the transaction occurred
Warning
The log holds a maximum of 100 entries. Once full, older entries are overwritten by newer ones. Leaders should review the log regularly to monitor guild bank activity and catch any misuse before the evidence is rotated out.

6. Message of the Day

Each guild has a Message of the Day (MOTD) that can hold up to 256 characters. The MOTD is displayed to all guild members and serves as a quick way for leadership to communicate important information such as upcoming events, recruitment goals, or rule reminders.

The MOTD can be edited through the guild window. When updated, the new message is broadcast to all online guild members immediately.

Tip
Use the MOTD to keep your guild informed about scheduled group activities, loot rules, or important announcements. All members see it when they open the guild window or upon logging in.

7. Guild Chat

Guilds have a dedicated chat channel that is available to all members. Guild chat messages are routed using the guild tag, ensuring only members of the same guild can see the messages.

Guild chat can be muted independently from other chat channels. If you prefer not to see guild messages temporarily (for example, during intense combat), you can mute the guild channel without affecting whispers, general chat, or other channels.

Chat Details
  • Messages are sent to all online guild members
  • Chat is routed by guild tag internally
  • Maximum message length: 90 characters
  • Can be independently muted in chat settings

8. Guild Management

The guild leader has access to several management actions through the guild window. These actions allow the leader to shape the guild roster and maintain order within the organization.

Available Actions

Action Description
Invite Add a new player to the guild by character name
Remove Kick a member from the guild
Promote Increase a member's rank by one level
Demote Decrease a member's rank by one level
Transfer Leadership Pass the guild leader role to another member
Change Tag Update the guild's 4-character tag
Edit MOTD Update the Message of the Day
Set Bank Permissions Configure per-rank guild bank access levels
Disband Permanently dissolve the guild (requires empty bank)

Leadership Transfer

The guild leader can transfer leadership to any other guild member. Once transferred, the new leader gains full control over the guild while the former leader reverts to a regular member rank. This action cannot be undone except by the new leader voluntarily transferring leadership back.

Warning
Leadership transfer is immediate and irreversible from the transferring leader's perspective. Only transfer leadership to someone you trust completely with full control of the guild.

9. Disbanding a Guild

Only the guild leader can disband a guild. Disbanding permanently dissolves the guild, removing all members and freeing up the guild slot on the server.

There is one critical requirement: the guild bank must be completely empty before the guild can be disbanded. If any items remain in the guild bank, the server will deny the disband request. This safeguard ensures that no shared items are lost when a guild is dissolved.

Caution
Disbanding a guild is permanent. All members are removed, the guild name and tag are freed, and the guild ceases to exist. The creation cost of 500,000 gold is not refunded. Make absolutely certain before proceeding with this action.
Disband Requirement Details
Initiator Must be the guild leader
Guild Bank Must be completely empty (all 280 slots)
Gold Refund None — creation cost is not returned
Effect All members removed, guild permanently deleted
